I love Austin. I love Austin at sunset. I love Zilker Park in Austin at sunset. Oh and I love when it’s 75 degrees in January.

I met these two kids for the first time when I did their maternity session, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Everything. Everything was perfect. The weather, the setting, the light, the people. All of it.

I can’t wait to meet their little man in a few weeks. Lucky for me – it’s a crazy, small world and they live in my neighborhood so I won’t have to travel far to meet him.

Sara & Nathaniel (I would call you Nate – but I don’t think we’re there yet….) – y’all are so much fun and such a beautiful couple. Sara you are in super-glow mode and you look stunning (I can’t believe you are 9 months in these photos – you are not exceptionally good for my self esteem).

See you in a few weeks (EEEK! I can’t wait!)

My beautiful, wonderful, amazing friend, Carrie. We go way back…WAY back – as in suite mates in college and all of the stories that come with being suite mates in college. (so there’s this story that involves Carrie and a lynched teletubby…..thatsallimsaying). But we’re all growed up now – and while the rest of the human race continues to age, it seems Carrie looks exactly the same as she did when we first met. It’s offensive mostly. But you can’t get mad at her – because she even more beautiful on the inside than she is on the outside.

Carrie – I love you. You are going to be such an amazing mother (and if your baby girl gives you a fist bite, you probably deserved it:)

I love Kara. Hard. You know that awesome group of friends (or in my case, sassys) you’ve had since undergrad – yeah Kara’s one of those friends. Old school. Sassy.

So of course I was ecstatic to do her maternity photos (and newborn photos next month – YESSSSSS!)

Kara my friend – I love you so much and I am so happy for you and Greg.

Greg – you’re ok and stuff. (I KID! You know I lurve ya!)

Bun in Kara’s oven (or “Man Hands” – my awesome, yet affectionate, pet name) - I can’t wait to meet you and I’m sure I already love you.

Bun in the oven? check. Dog? check. Sunset? check. Hurricane force winds? yep – check. I like a good breeze as much as the next gal, but mother nature went a bit overboard during my maternity session with Kate, Geoffrey, and Sam dog. I might have even gotten a stitch frustrated if it weren’t for an amazing weeping willow and a beautiful mama to be. As we were about to leave, Kate went straight whimsy and awesome on me (and that weeping willow) – and it totally made my day.
